We Were Here Tomorrow is a two-player online co-op puzzle adventure from Total Mayhem Games, released October 20, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S with crossplay. You play one of two Explorers trapped beneath the ice of Antarctica inside a Norček Industries facility, wired together by walkie-talkie and briefed by Director Kathleen Bowe to finish the work her missing team abandoned. Fifteen hours, and the studio's biggest campaign yet.

How the game is actually built

The whole campaign is one long conversation. You are separated most of the time, and each of you sees a different half of the same room: one reads a panel while the other stands at the mechanism it controls. There are no solo or AI-partner options — the store page states that it is co-op only and that both players need a microphone and an internet connection.

Each Explorer also carries a different high-tech tool. The game's achievement list names both of them: the Hook Gun, which grapples you to Energized surfaces, and the Goop Gun, which fires the expandable Rift mineral the facility's own research notes call goop and can lock your partner in place. Puzzles bend time, gravity and space rather than asking you to find a key.

Before your first session

  • Two copies. No friend pass, no shared ownership: each player buys the game.
  • A microphone each. Voice is the puzzle mechanic, not a convenience.
  • One rule up front: whoever can see the thing describes it out loud before anyone touches anything.

Those names are not marketing copy — each is an achievement description in the shipped build, which makes the achievement list the most reliable map of the campaign outside the game itself.

Where to start reading

  1. Beginner guide if you have not played a We Were Here game before. It covers the setup and the five habits that prevent most early stalls.
  2. Co-op setup if your invitation, microphone or crossplay session is the thing that is broken.
  3. Walkthrough hub for the full checkpoint list, then the sector page you are standing in.
  4. Puzzle mechanics when you want to solve it yourself but need a better method than repeating the same description louder.
  5. All 37 achievements if you are chasing completion, including the three that are easy to walk past.

Every fact here comes from the public record: the Steam store page, Total Mayhem Games' announcements from the February 2026 ARG through launch, and the in-game achievement descriptions. Puzzle answers that depend on your own run's symbols are not published by the developer, so the sector pages give you the objective, the tool, the checkpoint and the rescue procedure.
